This is the Argentina rugby retro shirt based on the shirt from the period 1982-1985. In 1965 the Argentina rugby team played their first tour of South Africa. A reporter during this tournament wanted to come up with a good nickname for the team when he saw the emblem on the shirt during a rugby match. He thought it was a cougar instead of a jaguar and named it the team cougars. This mistake was miraculously picked up by other journalists and even the Argentinians themselves.

The Argentina retro shirt is light blue and white striped. These two colors come from the Argentine flag and are used by most national sports teams.
