This is the blue Italy retro football shirt from COPA Classic, based on the shirt from the 70s. The retro shirt from Italy is of course completely blue. The nickname of the national team of Italy is therefore La Squadra Azzurra. Furthermore, the shirt has a round neck and the shirt has sleeves. Of course this football shirt from the Azzurri (the Blues) has the Italia logo badge on the chest. The COPA shirt has a regular fit and comes in a luxury COPA gift box. 100% coton.

In the 1970s, Italy managed to qualify 3 times for a World Cup. In these years, the country was unable to qualify for a European Championship. In 1970 Italy participated in the World Cup in Mexico and the country reached the final. Italy was not known for the attacking game, but in the First round, Italy was very furious. Italy advanced to the Second Round with 2 draws, 2 0-0 times and a 1-0 victory. In the game against Uruguay, the public refused to throw the ball back into the field out of dissatisfaction with the game played. Italy managed to advance to the semi-finals by beating Mexico 4-1, partly due to mistakes by goalkeeper Calderon. The semi-final between Italy and West Germany is seen as the 'Match of the Century'. Italy came to 1-0, but just before time, West Germany made it 1-1. In the extension it became a goal-feast and substitute Rivera eventually scored the 4-3 for Italy. The final was between the team with the best defense (Italy) and the best attack (Brazil). The attacking football won the match 4-1 and so National coach Mário Zagallo became the first to win the World Cup as a player and as a trainer. During the World Cup '74 in Germany, the tournament ended for Italy in the First round. At the World Cup in 1978, Italy surprised friend and foe with fresh and attacking football. In the First round, all games were won against France, Hungary and Argentina. In the second round, Italy had to compete against the Netherlands, West Germany and Austria. In the last group match, Italy and the Netherlands were allowed to decide who could play the final. Italy had to win and took a 1-0 lead. The Netherlands got more grip in the second half and won the match 1-2. Because of this, Italy played the consolation final against Brazil. The Brazilians won 2-1.
