White Hart Lane was a football stadium in the Tottenham district of north London and was home to the English football club Tottenham Hotspur. In September 1899, the Spurs played their first home game at White Hart Lane against Notts County, winning 4-1 in front of approximately 5,000 spectators. The highest number of spectators ever to watch a home game of the 'Spurs' was at a game on March 5, 1938. A number of 75,038 spectators witnessed the game against Sunderland. The last match at White Hart Lane took place on 14 May 2017. The club won 2-1 there against Manchester United. On May 15, 2017, the (partial) demolition of the stadium started.
